My husband and I were married in Maratea 16 years ago. We have continued to come back over the years because we fell in love with the authenticity of the area, as well as, the people.
On this trip, we tried something different and planned experiences through Your Undiscovered Italy. We were absolutely blown away! We felt like we were experiencing the area for the first time, even after having come back to the area many times before.
Lucia and Giuliana planned out every experience with intention and meticulous attention to detail. From unique wine tasting experiences to snorkeling for the kids on a private beach, kayaking and grottos, farm-to-table dining experiences that showcased the heart of Italian food and culture, sailing and boating experiences to explore the breathtaking coastlines and marine protected areas, gelato making experiences for the kids… this trip was an absolute dream.

The trip of a lifetime! We spent a glorious week touring the Tuscan countryside with Lucia and Giuliana as the ultimate hosts! Far from the crowds and tourist traps, we were able to live our lives as native Italians, visiting the places that only the insiders know about. From sharing wine, cheese and cured meats in a small private vineyard alongside the owners/wine masters, to enjoying one delicious meal after another with the true spirit of “farm to table,” every moment was unforgettable. We finished out our week feeling truly refreshed and immersed in the culture of this beautiful country. Lucia and Giuliana made all of the details seem effortless as we moved from one activity to the next, never hurried, always with humor and laughter!
